Introduction
PlannedPing is a local-first Android app for scheduling WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business messages. Privacy is a core part of how PlannedPing is designed — your data stays on your device by default, no mandatory account is required, and we do not operate a cloud-based data platform.
This Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected, how it is used, and how your data is handled when you use the PlannedPing app ("the App") or visit the PlannedPing website.
Information We Collect
App Data (Stored Locally)
PlannedPing stores your scheduled messages, recipient lists, app settings, and related scheduling data locally on your Android device. This data is not transmitted to or stored on our servers.
Support Communications
If you contact us via email for support or feedback, we receive the content of your message and your email address. This information is used only to respond to your inquiry.
Technical Information
We may collect limited, anonymous technical information such as device type, Android version, app version, and aggregate usage patterns. This information is used to improve app quality and cannot be used to identify individual users.
How We Use Information
The limited information we may collect is used to:
- Provide and maintain the App's functionality
- Improve the user experience and fix issues

Local Storage and Device Data
PlannedPing stores core app data — including your scheduled messages, recipient lists, and settings — locally on your device. No mandatory account or login is required to use the App. PlannedPing is not a cloud-based platform and does not sync your data to external servers as part of normal operation.
Permissions and Setup Access
PlannedPing requires certain Android permissions and device settings to provide reliable scheduled sending:
- Accessibility access is used to perform scheduled message sends through WhatsApp. This is part of the App's core scheduling behavior.
- Notification permissions allow PlannedPing to inform you about message status and upcoming scheduled sends.
- Battery and system settings may need adjustment on some devices to ensure scheduled sends are not interrupted by power-saving or background restrictions.
These permissions are used solely for the App's scheduling functionality. PlannedPing does not use accessibility access to monitor, read, or collect your personal WhatsApp conversations.
In-App Purchases
If the App offers paid features, purchases are processed through Google Play. We do not directly collect or store your payment information. Google Play's privacy policy governs the handling of payment data.
Backup and Restore
When you create a backup, the backup file is stored locally on your device and remains under your control. PlannedPing does not automatically upload backup files to cloud services. If cloud storage is used for backups in the future, it will require your explicit action and consent.
Third-Party Services
PlannedPing interacts with or may involve the following third-party services:
- WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business (Meta Platforms, Inc.) — PlannedPing sends scheduled messages through WhatsApp's standard interface. PlannedPing does not access your WhatsApp account data, contacts, or message history. PlannedPing is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta.
- Google Play — used for app distribution and in-app purchase processing.
- Website hosting — the PlannedPing website is hosted using standard web hosting infrastructure.
Your Choices
You have choices about how you use PlannedPing:
- You can use the App without creating an account or logging in.
- You can choose whether to purchase additional features within the app.
- You can create, export, and manage backup files on your device.
- You can contact support or choose not to.
- You can uninstall the App at any time, which removes locally stored app data.
Children's Privacy
PlannedPing is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the App or our website. Your continued use of PlannedPing after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
